AoB/Cir 03 2024

Dear Priests, Deacons, Religious and the Faithful of the Archdiocese of Bulawayo,

As we are in the middle of 2024 it is a good time for us to take an evaluation of the Pastoral Resolutions we made for this year based on our theme "Co-Responsibility of all the Baptised". If we have done well, let us make it better. If we have not been very effective, let us use the remaining time wisely to be fully co-responsible in our families, SCCs and parishes. We wish to make our Church as participatory as possible for all the baptised.

1. Appointments:

1. Fr. Victor Dube is appointed the Priest in charge of Sts. Peter & Paul, Mpopoma.

2. Fr. Crelly Ncube is appointed Rector of St. Bernard's Minor Seminary.

3. Fr. Mackenzie Netha is appointed assistant priest at St. Bernard's Minor Seminary.

4. Fr. John Sewera is appointed assistant priest at St. Bernard's Mission, Pumula.

5. Fr. Brian Kandlela is going for studies in Rome for two years.

2. Forthcoming Events:

2.1. Ordination of Priests at Our Lady of Fatima, Pumula South on 27 July.

2.2. Visit of the Apostolic Nuncio to Bulawayo on 3-5 August.

2.3. Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Fatima on 18 August.

2.4. Golden Jubilee of Fr. Charles Mafurutu on 24 August at St. Ignatius Parish, Fairbridge.

3. Vocations Month:

July is the month to promote and pray specially for various vocations in the Church. It would be ideal for each Parish and Mission to concentrate each week of the month on different types of vocations we have - like family life, religious life, priesthood, role of the laity and think about it and pray for good family life, commitment in religious life and priesthood.
