The St. Joseph's Association put this year's theme Children and Youth a blessing to the family to the Family and Church into action by organising a joint meeting with the junior youth of the parish on Sunday 25 February 2018.

The meeting was officially opened by the Parish Priest, Fr. Sidakara, who set the tone by outline the meeting's objectives. He said the objectives were to bridge the gap between parents and children and create a bond between them through dialogue. He also urged the association to organise similar meetings with the senior youths and young adults.

The junior youths had given the Association three topics for discussion. Topics under discussion were: Alcohol and substance abuse, How can I communicate with my father if I have a problem, and Our upbringing by fathers. Three facilitators were drawn from the parish to present the topics. The topics were presented in an interactive manner and participants discussed their challenges. Solutions were proffered during the discussions and the youths expressed their gratitude to the St. Joseph's Association for creating the platform to interact with their parents.
